David Ellesley’s 2009 Championship winning Ford Fiesta ST.

First of all let me tell you this car is in really good condition and really has been maintained regardless of cost since the time of its initial build in 2008. In two seasons racing the only panel that has been replaced is the rear bumper and bumper bar.

 The car comes fresh from winning the ST category of 2009 Competition Car Insurance Ford Fiesta Championship, with 8 outright wins, 12 podiums, 5 poles and 1 new lap record. The championship regularly saw grids of 38+ cars in 2009 so this shows the calibre of the car and championship. 

The car comes totally complete and ready to race with a spares package that would make a ford main dealer blush.

The car is built to a ‘Group N’ specification and benefiting from the earlier specification engine.

A brief overview of the cars specification is below:

• 3 way adjustable duel rate AST suspension
• Fully triangulated and welded in Custom Cages Roll Cage
• X2 full sets of rims and slicks and 5 wets and rims
• Later 2008 specification gear box fitted (original included as spare)
• Full 6 point harness and full support Sparco bucket seat
• OMP aluminium 4.25L extinguisher system, fully plumed into cockpit and engine bay
• Digital electronics shift light and Demon Tweeks lap timer
• Heated front screen and mirrors
• A complete spares package
• Braided flexible hoses and all lines routed through drivers cabin (FIA compliant)
• 2 years worth of selected setup data for each track used in 08’, 09’.
• The only car in the series to have a quick release steering wheel and boss.

Included with the sale of the car and the spares package will also be two free days (subject to time and location) of car setup/driver tuition courtesy of Race Car Consultants worth in the region of £700.

XR Challenge Car

The car was built from a clean solid shell for the 2006 season and also completed the 2007 season. Finishing in 4th overall both year with podium finishes in both seasons. The car was ultra reliable only failing to finish 1 race in two seasons, due to knocking the exhaust loose on a curb. I did enter 2 races this season but suffered radiator problems which has now been rectified + new oil cooler and engine rebuild.

Offers around £2300 for the car complete and ready to race.

It also has a passenger seat available including harness so you can scare a freind or two at track days!!!

Also have a solid donor car nearly complete which I would take offers around £450. A spare engine lower half needs rebore (but have a set of new +1mm pistons ready to go in) . Spare gearbox with rs diff (needs re-assembly). OMP suit and Sparco open face helmet. (OFFERS)

Used in XR CHALLENGE Championship. Professionally build. Race winner and XR Championship frontrunner ( ex- Tony Mumford). Not raced  since 2002 accept few test sessions. Fully seam welded. Welded in multi-point cage. Fully adjustable LEDA suspension. Lap Timer. Comes with extra set of new Yokohamas on rims and spares. Set up sheets for Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Anglesey included. Built from an extremely well maintained road car. Never raced due to change of plans. Car is mechanically fantastic.

Custom Cages T45 roll cage installed by Custom Cages, MSA roll cage certification papers. New Cobra Evolution seat, expires 2014. New Sabelt 5 point harness, expires 2014.

Only needs some minor finishing to be ready; extinguisher, steering wheel, door trims and wiring of master switch which is already installed. A great race car with the hard part done!
